A not-for-profit initiative set up in 2020, Scoop Durham is run by Durham University students. It’s a zero-waste store offering plastic-free essential non-perishable dried foods including grains, spices, rice, dried fruit, tea, coffee, all sold by weight. Local delivery to Durham city centre currently being trialled (October 2020)

The Scoop Durham shop is open for business!
WHEN: Every Wednesday and Saturday during term time from 12-5pm
WHERE: Unit 44, The Riverwalk (next to Old Tom’s Gin Bar and opposite Timpson)
WHAT: Durham’s first student-run non-profit affordable zero-waste shop stocking a variety of non-perishable foods
Remember to bring your own containers! Alternatively we will have compostable bags available to purchase.
Our customers vote for one of three charities at the checkout point, and all our profits for the term are split between them according to the corresponding number of votes. This term these charities are FareShare, RSACC and DASH. Please head to our social media pages to find out more about them.
