The Meadows Community Garden

A place where people and nature connect

Tucked away behind the Meadow Well Connected community hub, lies an oasis of calm and tranquillity. Nestled between the metro line and the rear of the centre is five acres of land which has all sorts of interesting areas to enjoy.

The garden is a special place where our community and nature connect. It features a number of polytunnels, raised beds and fruit trees where we grow a variety of organic fruit and veg. It is also a hub for outdoor learning and we deliver alternative education programmes and offer support to anyone in need. We base our support around the uniqueness of each individual and create a culture where staff, volunteers, students and clients work shoulder to shoulder.

We are in the process of redesigning our garden, taking the principles of Permaculture to make it beautiful place where people and nature flourish. The garden is managed by our Gardener, Andy, and a small staff team and a number of amazing volunteers. There’s always lots to do so whether you’re an experienced gardener, or someone who just wants to get stuck in and give it a try, please do come and join us.
