Swallowfish Ltd is a business owned and operated by Patrick Wilkin.
The business is based in The Fisherman’s Kitchen in Seahouses complete with the original smokehouses, which have operated on this site since 1843. The site is even credited as being one of the possible places where in fact the modern “Kipper” was actually invented!
Today we employ the very same methods of smoking as were performed on this site all those years ago. We use traditional oak sawdust which has no additives, preservatives or colourings of any kind and we let the natural flavours speak for themselves.
As well as smoked produce, Swallowfish also offer a wide range of fresh, seasonal fish from the north sea, provided by a close network of trusted suppliers. That way we are sure we can provide you with the very finest sea fish without any compromise.
Our aim is to supply a first class product, and to provide a friendly and personal service to each and every customer. We are passionate about the fish we smoke and the seafood we sell, and offer only the best local produce in our Fishermans Kitchen and for our mail order service.
Visitors are more than welcome at The Fisherman’s Kitchen where we have a large display of historic fishing photographs and articles around the walls.
